The Clinical evaluation of Sagacin, a new aminoglycoside

Abstract
|
|
|
Sagacin is a new aminoglycoside antibiotic which is effective for E. coli, Staphylococci and Pseudomonas group and is particular in its low toxicity to the kidney and hearing sense. Our clinical study was performed on 20 patients who were admitted to Department of Surgery, Severance Hospital from September 1985 through March 1985 to evaluate its antimicrobial spectrum.
With this study we wanted to take advantage of its bactericidal effect in the newborn or infancy and patients with functionally impaired kidney.
